xButyagrus

This palm is a hybrid between Butia species and Syagrus romanzoffiana.
It is much faster growing than either parent ,forming trunk rapidly and growing with considerable vigour.
In Brazil where the both Butia and Syagrus grow together in nature, they hybridise naturally and a number of palms can be seen in the area. It is probably the most elegant `coconut lookalike`  pinnate palm that will grow in the Northern European climate.
